Guar gum futures fall on low demand

New Delhi, Guar gum prices on Friday fell by Rs 53 to Rs 6,156 per five quintal in futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with weak trend in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for December delivery eased by Rs 53, or 0.85 per cent, to Rs 6,156 per five quintal in 51,140 lots.

Guar gum for January delivery decreased by Rs 65, or 1.03 per cent, to Rs 6,229 per five quintal in 6,340 lots.

Marketmen said slackness in demand in spot market and increased supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices. PTI
