Soybean prices on Friday fell by Rs 19 to Rs 3,795 per quintal in futures market as participants cut down their positions on weak spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean contracts for September delivery eased by Rs 19, or 0.5 per cent, to Rs 3,795 per quintal with an open interest of 6,595 lots.
Soybean for October delivery declined by Rs 15, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 3,866 per quintal with an open interest of 39,665 lots.
The fall in soybean prices in futures trade was mostly due to reduction of exposure by participants, marketmen said. PTI
