India’s 2021-22 cotton production is expected to be 36.13 million bales (170 kilograms per bale), a slight increase of 2% from the estimated 353 million bales for the current year ending September 30, 2021. Because cotton prices are at a record level, 64,500 rupees per candy (29 mm ginning variety), 8,800 rupees per quintal of raw cotton.
