New Delhi, Soybean prices on Tuesday rose Rs 139.0 to Rs 6,861.0 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend at the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, Soybean for Jun delivery went up Rs 139.0, or2.1 per cent, to Rs6,861.0 per quintal with an open interest of55,145 lots.
A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up Soybean prices here, market analysts said.
For delivery in July, the price went up Rs172.0, or 2.63 per cent to Rs 6,528.0 per quintal with an open interest of 15,295lots
