Coriander futures rise on spot demand

New Delhi,  Coriander prices on Monday rose by Rs 138 to Rs 6,722 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for October delivery gained Rs 138, or 2.1 per cent, to Rs 6,722 per quintal with an open interest of 3,945 lots.

The spice for delivery in November traded higher by similar margins at Rs 6,770 per quintal with an open interest of 720 lots.

A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices here, market analysts said. PTI
