Coriander futures rise on spot demand

29 Coriander prices on Monday rose Rs 81 to Rs 6,231 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for July delivery went up Rs 81, or 1.32 per cent, to Rs 6,231 per quintal with an open interest of 3,330 lots.

Coriander for delivery in August went up by Rs 116, or 1.89 per cent, to Rs 6,265 per quintal with an open interest of 940 lots.

A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices here, market analysts said. PTI
