Cottonseed oil cake futures slip on muted demand

Cottonseed oil cake prices on Friday fell by Rs 32 to Rs 2,057 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets amid a weak trend in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake to be delivered in July fell by Rs 32, or 1.53 per cent, to Rs 2,057 per quintal with an open interest of 47,190 lots.

Cottonseed oil cake for delivery in August went down by Rs 25, or 1.17 per cent, to Rs 2,116 per quintal in 13,790 lots.

Market players said sell-off by participants at the existing levels amid subdued trend in market mainly weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices. PTI
