Soybean prices on Friday fell by Rs 22 to Rs 3,746 per quintal in futures market as participants cut down their positions on weak spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean contracts for July delivery fell Rs 22, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 3,746 per quintal with an open interest of 33,840 lots.
Soybean for August delivery went down by Rs 20, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 3,724 per quintal with an open interest of 25,550 lots.
The fall in soybean prices in futures trade was mostly due to reduction of exposure by participants, marketmen said. PTI
