Coriander futures rise on firm demand
Coriander prices Friday rose Rs 31 to Rs 5,858 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend at the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for May delivery went up Rs 31, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 5,858 per quintal with an open interest of 2,100 lots.
Coriander for delivery in June went up by Rs 6, or 0.1 per cent to Rs 5,744 per quintal with an open interest of 1,950.
A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices here, market analysts said. PTI
