Coriander futures rise on spot demand

Coriander prices on Monday rose Rs 38 to Rs 6,106 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for July delivery went up Rs 38, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 6,106 per quintal with an open interest of 3,700 lots.

Coriander for delivery in August went up by Rs 46, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 6,140 per quintal with an open interest of 430 lots.

A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices here, market analysts said. PTI
