Coriander futures rise on spot demand

New Delhi, Coriander prices on Thursday rose by Rs 58 to Rs 6,602 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for November delivery traded higher by Rs 58, or 0.89 per cent, to Rs 6,602 per quintal with an open interest of 2,730 lots.

The spice for delivery in December gained Rs 64, or 0.97 per cent, to Rs 6,682 per quintal with an open interest of 1,740 lots.

A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices here, market analysts said. PTI
