Coriander futures rise on spot demand

New Delhi,  Coriander prices on Tuesday rose Rs 124 to Rs 7,434 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend at the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for April delivery went up Rs 124, or 1.7 per cent, to Rs 7,434 per quintal with an open interest of 5,495 lots.

For delivery in May, the price went up by Rs 136, or 1.85 per cent, to Rs 7,476 per quintal with an open interest of 375 lots.

A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices here, market analysts said. PTI
