Guar gum futures fall on low demand

Guar gum prices on Tuesday fell Rs 44 to Rs 6,150 per five quintal in futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with weak trend at spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for October delivery ease by Rs 44, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 6,150 per five quintal in 45,345 lots

Guar gum for November delivery decreased by Rs 51, or 0.81 per cent to Rs 6,222 per five quintal in 6,670 lots.

Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and increased supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices. PTI
