Guar Seed futures decline on low demand

Guar seed prices on Monday went down by Rs 36 to Rs 4,040 per 10 quintal in futures trade.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for August delivery was trading at Rs 4,040, down by Rs 36, or 0.88 per cent per 10 quintal with an open interest of 7,290 lots.

Likewise, for September delivery, the futures prices decreased Rs 32, or 0.77 per cent, to Rs 4,128 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 27,130 lots.

Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.  PTI
