Gujarat Grounnut harvest is estimated to be 35.00 million tons

New Delhi.Excessive rainfall and flooding have overshadowed the prospects for the peanut harvest in Gujarat. Although the planted area has increased by 33% this year, the output of Harif peanuts may be only 10% higher than last year.

The Solvent Extraction Association of India (SEA) estimates that Gujarat’s peanut harvest was 35.45 million tons, compared with 32.15 million tons in the same period last year.
