Refined soya oil futures fall on low demand

Refined soya oil prices on Monday fell Rs 6.5 to Rs 808 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in July declined by Rs 6.5, or 0.8 per cent, to Rs 808 per 10 kg in 25,695 lots.

Similarly, refined soya oil contracts for August decreased by Rs 8.2, or 1.02 per cent, to Rs 796.1 per 10 kg in 13,020 lots.

Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices. PTI
