Coriander futures rise on spot demand

New Delhi,  Coriander prices on Tuesday rose by Rs 12 to Rs 7,108 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for April delivery gained Rs 12, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 7,108 per quintal with an open interest of 5,375 lots.

A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices here, market analysts said.

For delivery in May, coriander prices traded higher by Rs 56, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 7,210 per quintal with an open interest of 3,680 lots. PTI
