Corn is sold below MSP in Punjab

New Delhi,Corn is sold below MSP in Punjab, because its MSP is 1,850 rupees per quintal, but farmers’ income per quintal is only 700 to 1,000 rupees.

The state is dominated by the whole state, with about 600,000 tons of corn planted on about 1.6 million hectares of land across the state.

There are two varieties: Kharif corn has an average yield of 22 quintal per acre, and spring corn has an average yield of 35 quintal per acre.
