Cottonseed oil cake futures ease on muted demand

Cottonseed oil cake prices on Monday fell by Rs 48 to Rs 2,025 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets amid a weak trend in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake to be delivered in June fell by Rs 48, or 2.32 per cent, to Rs 2,025 per quintal with an open interest of 4,190 lots.

Cottonseed oil cake for delivery in July went down by Rs 30, or 1.39 per cent, to Rs 2,124 per quintal in 46,640 lots.

Market players said sell-off by participants at the existing levels amid subdued trend in market mainly weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.PTI
