Cottonseed oil cake futures slip

Cottonseed oil cake prices on Friday fell by Rs 79 to Rs 1,921 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets amid a weak trend at the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake to be delivered in July ease by Rs 79, or 3.95 per cent, to Rs 1,921 per quintal with an open interest of 3,420 lots.

Cottonseed oil cake for delivery in August went down by Rs 38, or 1.93 per cent, to Rs 1,930 per quintal in 37,650 lots.

Market players said sell-off by participants at the existing levels amid subdued trend in market mainly weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices. PTI
