Cottonseed oil cake futures up on spot demand

Cottonseed oil cake prices on Thursday traded up by Rs 32 to Rs 1,849 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions driven by firm spot demand. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 32, or 1.74 per cent, to Rs 1,849 per quintal with an open interest of 45,780 lots. Likewise for delivery in June cottonseed oil cake traded higher by Rs 32, or 1.73 per cent, to Rs 1,881 per quintal with an open interest of 9,030 lots. Marketmen said raising of positions by participants amid a rising demand from cattle-feed makers mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices here. PTI
