Guar gum futures fall on low demand

New, Guar gum prices on Friday fell by Rs 46 to Rs 6,115 per five quintal in futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with weak trend in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for March delivery declined by Rs 46, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 6,115 per five quintal in 32,575 lots.

Guar gum for April delivery dropped by Rs 54, or 0.87 per cent, to Rs 6,188 per five quintal in 26,095 lots.

Marketmen said slackness in demand in spot market and increased supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices. PTI
