Guar Gum futures rise on fresh bets

New Delhi,  Guar Gum prices on Friday rose by Rs 121 to Rs 11,819.0 per quintal in futures trade after speculators increased their positions driven by a firm trend at spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for February contracts increased by Rs 121, or 1.4 per cent, to Rs 11,819.0 per  quintal with an open interest of 2750 lots.

According to marketmen, raising of bets by speculators tracking a firm trend in the spot market on thin supplies from growing belts mainly led to rise in guar gum prices here.
