Guar Seed futures decline on low demand

Guar seed prices on Monday went down by Rs 56 to Rs 3,890 per 10 quintal in futures trade.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for September delivery was trading at Rs 3,890 down by Rs 56, or 1.42 per cent per 10 quintal with an open interest of 20,000 lots.

Likewise, for October delivery, the futures prices decreased Rs 66, or 1.67 per cent, to Rs 3,892 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 31,590 lots.

Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions. PTI
