Guar Seed futures decline on low demand

Guar seed prices on Monday went down by Rs 14 to Rs 3,655 per 10 quintal in futures trade.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for July delivery was trading at Rs 3,655, down by Rs 14, or 0.38 per cent per 10 quintal with an open interest of 24,605 lots.

Similarly, for August delivery, the futures prices decreased Rs 20, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 3,640 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 18,075 lots.

Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions. PTI
