Guar seed futures decline on low demand

Guar seed prices on Thursday decreased by Rs 27 to Rs 4,144 per 10 quintal in futures trade.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for September delivery was trading down by Rs 27, or 0.65 per cent, at Rs 4,144 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 27,040 lots.

Likewise, for October delivery, guar seed prices decreased by Rs 19, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 4,177 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 18,060 lots.

Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions. PTI
