Guar seed futures fall on tepid demand

Guar seed futures traded lower by Rs 17 at Rs 3,937 per 10 quintal in futures trade on Monday as participants reduced their portfolios in line with a weak trend in the physical market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed to be delivered in October fell by Rs 17, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 3,937 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 55,220 lots.

Similarly, guar seed contracts for December delivery traded lower by Rs 13.5, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 3,975 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 39,840 lots
