India’s sugar exports surge

Thanks to the depreciation of the rupee, subsidies and production cuts by rival suppliers, India’s sugar exports will increase by 50% in the season ending this month, reaching a record 5.7 million tons, a record high. The government expects the strong performance to continue in the next season.
