New Delhi, Jeera prices on Friday gained Rs 285 to Rs 15,690.00 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings on spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, Jeera contracts for December delivery traded higher 1.7 per cent, or Rs 285 to Rs 15,690.00 per quintal with an open interest of 10,008 lots.
Analysts said after tracking firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets which led to rise in Jeera prices.
