Jeera futures gain on demand

New Delhi, Jeera prices on Friday gained Rs 65 to Rs 16,280.0 per  quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings on spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, Jeera contracts for January  delivery traded higher 0.42 per cent, or Rs 65 to Rs16,280.0 per  quintal with an open interest of 9,492 lots.

Analysts said after tracking firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets which led to rise in Jeera prices.
