Refined soya oil futures fall on low demand

Refined soya oil prices on Thursday fell by 80 paise to Rs 860 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August declined by 80 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 860 per 10 kg in 6,300 lots.

Similarly, refined soya oil contracts for September decreased by Rs 5, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 869 per 10 kg in 29,700 lots.

Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices. PTI
