Rising demand lifts refined soya oil futures

Refined soya oil prices on Friday rose by Rs 11.4 to Rs 777.4 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators raised their bets.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for May delivery moved up by Rs 11.4, or 1.49 per cent, to Rs 777.4 per 10 kg in 16,590 lots.

Refined soya oil contracts for June delivery rose by Rs 13, or 1.76 per cent, to Rs 749.6 per 10 kg in 1,560 lots.

Analysts said widening of positions by traders mainly helped refined soya oil prices to trade higher in futures market. PTI
