Soybean futures gain

New Delhi, Soybean prices on Tuesday rose Rs 176 to Rs 6,894.0 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend at the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, Soybean for July delivery went up Rs 176, or 2.55 per cent, to Rs 6,894.0.0per quintal with an open interest of 37110 lots.

A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up Soybean prices here, market analysts said.

For delivery in Aug, the price went up Rs269.0, or 3.86 per cent to Rs 6,742.0 per quintal with an open interest of 10,565 lots
