Soybean prices on Monday went up by Rs 18 to Rs 3,720 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for August delivery rose by Rs 18, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 3,720 per quintal with an open interest of 465 lots.
Likewise, Soybean for September delivery went up by Rs 8, or 0.22 per cent to Rs 3,726 per quintal with an open interest of 33,460 lots.
Marketmen said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to rise in soybean prices. PTI
