Turmeric futures decline on low demand

New Delhi, Turmeric prices on Thursday fell by Rs 104 to Rs 7,724.0 per quintal in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions amid weak demand at spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, Turmeric contracts for June eased by Rs 104, or 1.35 per cent, to Rs 7,724.0 per quintal in 7610 lots.

Market analysts said subdued demand in spot market mainly led to decline in Turmeric prices here.

For July delivery, the price decreased by Rs 80, or 1.2 per cent, to Rs 7,860.0per quintal in 5255 lots
